Several Highwood roads to be closed next week for upgrade work
The next phase of upgrades on Highwood streets will begin the first week of November, city officials said this week. High Street from Prairie to Michigan, Evolution from Prairie to Highwood, Sard and Lockard, next to North Avenue, will be closed while work crews grind down the existing road and lay fresh layers of asphalt. Some base repairs also may be done, depending on road conditions.
