The Village of Barrington Hills Roads and Bridges Committee will hold its regular meeting Thursday at Village Hall.
After approving the previous meeting's minutes, the group will discuss the Cuba Road Bridge project, which began Nov. 4 under the management of Copenhaver Construction. So far, crews have removed guardrails, parapet walls and the bridge deck and will continue by installing cofferdams, removing existing abutments and excavating footings for the proposed bridge foundations.
Crews from AT&T also buried an overhead utility line that project officials said would have created a barrier for lifting the bridge sections into place later in the project.
The committee will also discuss winter snow and ice control, the road program budget and vote to approve its 2016 meeting schedule.
The next Roads and Bridges Committee meeting is tentatively scheduled for January 21 at 4 p.m.
The meeting will begin at 3 p.m.
