Babcox south

The Lake County Board meeting will take place 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Lake County Court Building, 18 N. County St., Waukegan.

Call to order, a moment of silence and the Pledge will precede Roll Call. The first order of business—for discussion only—will be agenda additions followed by a special recognition period. Items not already on the agenda can be broached during the Public Comment session.

Chair’s remarks will be followed by old business, new business and a 24-item consent agenda, including minutes from Dec. 8, 2015; various reports to be approved, including those of a medical, legal and administrative nature; planning, zoning and water and road infrastructure; and vendor services for office expenses.

Radio communications equipment, public works and transportation and environmental matters will also be up for discussion and report. Authorization to fund bike path resurfacing, build automation systems, reimburse business expenses, institute temporary staffing services and find storage space will be explored.

The Board of Health will deliver its report; trade matters will be updated. Resolutions concerning some emergency road repairs are scheduled for discussion.

Additional resolutions pertain to the appointment of Steve Wernikoff as a trustee of the Long Grove Fire Protection District and the appointment of Preston Dane as a member of the Lakeside Cemetery Association, with supporting documentation to be presented for both.

Petitions, correspondence and miscellaneous business will complete the meeting prior to adjournment.
