The township and village of Antioch’s First Fire Protection District convened at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday in Antioch’s Community Building at 882 Main St. for a special Joint Fire Committee meeting.
Following the call to order and roll call, new business was first on the agenda. Those present approved minutes from the district’s previous meeting, held Nov. 18, 2015, and discussed a resolution to affirm the district’s vision.
Options for annexation possibilities were addressed, followed by discussion of whether any personnel policies were in need of drafting for the Antioch Fire Department.
Conversation regarding funds received from ARS followed, with specific attention to how the money was spent.
In old business, the topic of vision and analysis continued along with attention to long range planning for the Fire Department, specifically the creation of priorities, budgeting and scheduling a timeline.
The floor was then opened for public comments, followed by adjournment.
