Lake Forest ZBA to review permits, variances

Stadium

Lake Forest’s Zoning Board of Appeals will tend to permits, variances and other items at its upcoming meeting 6:30 p.m. Monday in City Hall.

Chairman Robert Franksen will preside, introducing board members and staff and providing an overview of meeting procedures before the board tends to regular business.

Two variances and one special use permit are on the evening’s agenda: Stephen and Laura Douglass, property owners at 460 Washington Road, request a setback variation, and Peter and Jamie Childs desire a variance for a front yard setback for their new house along with additional variances to permit gutter installation on an existing detached garage at their 682 Oakwood Ave. residence.

Lake Forest College has asked for a special use permit to use temporary lighting for Farwell Field, at 250 Washington Road, for a three-week period following the end of daylight savings time. Following permit and variance discussions, the public will have an opportunity to introduce items not on the agenda as well as hear any additional information presented by staff.
