The Village of Deerfield said recently that several city bus routes are undergoing a conversion to a posted-stops-only operation.
Presently, riders may flag down a bus in designated safe areas along a route, regardless of whether there is a bus-stop sign posted.
As a result of this change, Bus Route 471 will have new posted stops based on ridership counts, safety and other factors. Bus company Pace currently is relocating or installing new bus-stop signs at designated locations along routes.
