Team-tryout dates for fall sports at the College of Lake County (CLC) have been announced on the school's athletic website.
Here are the sports with tryouts and their dates:
MEN'S SOCCER
Open to current and prospective students who turn in physical exams prior to participating; tryouts will run from 2-3 p.m. Monday, July 25, at the CLC soccer field.
VOLLEYBALL
Tryouts are from 6:45-8:45 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, at the Round Lake Park District. Participants must turn in a valid physical exam report in advance. Volleyball tryouts are open to any current or prospective students.
WOMEN'S SOCCER
A pre-season meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, at the CLC practice field along Washington Street.
Tryouts will run Aug. 1-5, with times to be announced, at the CLS soccer field. Participants must enroll as full-time CLC students and complete all necessary paperwork, including a valid physical.
MEN'S GOLF
Tryouts are 1:30 p.m. Thursday-Friday, Aug. 18-19, at Bittersweet Golf Club, 875 Almond Road in Gurnee. All participants must be full-time CLC students and have completed all eligibility paperwork, including a valid physical.
BASEBALL
Tryouts are set for 1-3 p.m., Monday-Tuesday, Aug. 22-23, at the Gene D. Hanson Baseball Field. Any prospective or current students can participate, although a valid physical must be completed ahead of time.
