Tryouts for the 2017 Vernon Hills community travel baseball team will be Sunday, Aug. 21, at the VHAC fields on 300 Nike Parkway, according to vhcougars.org.
Various age groups will hold the tryouts. Age levels 9U, 10U and 11U will have tryouts from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and levels 12U, 13U and 14U will have tryouts from 1:30-3:30 p.m. All tryouts will be on fields 1-4.
Tryouts for level 8U will be held at a later date.
The make-up day, in case of bad weather, will be Sunday, Aug. 28.
The cost is $20 per player if registration is done online before Aug. 21. The cost will be $50 per player if not done during the online preregistration period. Payment is due at the time of registration.
