Prior Year Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Funding Applications
· The enclosed Notice of Available Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Project
Funding was released in July 2016. In response, 17 applications were submitted with
requests totaling $2,351,896 for the available $435,538.78 in prior year funds.
· Unmet priorities from the prior years’ (2010-2014) Consolidated Plan primarily were
permanent supportive housing and affordable housing in areas located in close
proximity to public transit. Six applications were received that meet these prior year
priorities.
· To ensure that all applications are given equal attention, however, all 17 applications
have been divided up between the three Advisory and Recommendation Committee
(ARC) meetings on August 26, 2016. At each August 26th ARC meeting, five or six
applications assigned to that ARC will be given full consideration. Applicants will be
invited to each ARC meeting to answer questions and establish an informative dialog
with Commission members.
