The fourth annual 5K Turkey Trot, a fundraiser for the Grayslake Central High School Booster Club, will take place Sunday, Nov. 20, with the race starting at 9 a.m. at the high school track, 400 N. Lake St.
The race course will go west of the high school and past Jones Island, with the finish line back at the high school track.
Awards will be given to the top overall male and female runners, as well as the top three finishers in several age groups.
Costs to register online through noon Friday, Nov. 18, are $38.35 per adult; $22.95 per high-school student, military member and senior age 60 and older; and $17.95 per grade-school student. Costs listed include fees.
Participants also can register during packet pickup 4-7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, and 7:30-9 a.m. on race day. Each packet will include a timing bib and an event shirt.
