The College of Lake County (CLC) women's tennis program recently added two scholarship signees, according to the school's athletics website.
Sydney Misiek of Lakes Community High School will join the program after spending three years on her school's varsity team. She played No. 1 doubles as a senior and also played singles at the varsity level.
“Sydney has worked hard to improve as a tennis player and has a great attitude on and off the court,” CLC Head Tennis Coach Jim Love said on www.clclancers.com.
Sjana Henderson of Antioch Community High School also is joining the Lancers program. She was the conference champion at No. 2 singles during her senior year and came in second in the sectionals, earning her a trip to the state tournament. Henderson was on varsity for four years.
“Sjana will be bringing to CLC tremendous experience as one of the best tennis players in Lake County,” Love said.
