Village of Grayslake Board of Trustees met April 18.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

The regular Meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Village of Grayslake was called to order at 7: 00 p.m. in the Board Room of the Grayslake Village Hall, Mayor Rhett Taylor presiding.

Roll Call: Trustees Vogel, Jarvis, Waldenstrom, Davies, Shores - present. Trustee Bassett — absent. Village Clerk Lee— present.

Also present were various Village staff members.

Public Comment—Agenda Items: None.

1. Approval: Minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 4, 2017

Trustee Shores made a motion, seconded by Trustee Davies, to approve the Minutes of the Regular Board Meeting of April 14, 2017. On voice vote— all" aye". Motion Carried.

2. Approval: Treasurer' S Reports/Payment of Bills: April 18, 2017

Trustee Vogel made a motion, seconded by Trustee Waldenstrom, to approve the Treasurer' s Report for April 18, 2017, and authorize payment of the bills as listed in the report. Roll call: Trustees Vogel, Jarvis, Waldenstrom, Davies, Shores— all " aye".Motion Carried.

3. Approval: Fiscal Year 2017/2018 Operating and Capital Budgets

Per the Budget Workshop discussion of March 18, 2017, Trustee Jarvis made a motion, seconded by Trustee Davies, to approve the fiscal year 2017/2018 operating and capital budgets. Roll call: Trustees Vogel, Jarvis, Waldenstrom, Davies, Shores— all" aye". Motion Carried.

4. Ordinance 2017- 0- 13: Waterisewer/Garbage/Recycling/Aquatic Center Multi-Year Rate Plans

Trustee Vogel made a motion, seconded by Trustee Shores, to approve Ordinance No. 2017-0- 13, amending the Village' s annual fee schedule. Roll call: Trustees Vogel, Jarvis, Waldenstrom, Davies, Shores— all " aye". Motion Carried.

5. Ordinance 2017-0-14: Making Certain Job Title Changes in the Village Code

Trustee Davies made a motion, seconded by Trustee Waldenstrom, to approve Ordinance Na 2017-0-14, substituting the position titles of Building Code and Compliance Manager for the position of Building Commissioner and Director of Public Works for Superintendent of Public Works effective May l, 2017. Roll call: Trustees Vogel, Jarvis, Waldenstrom, Davies, Shores— all" aye". Motion Carried.

6. Approval: Village Appointments

Trustee Vogel made a motion, seconded by Trustee Shores, to approve Mayor Taylor' s recommendations for appointments to various regular annual Village positions. Roll call: Trustees Vogel, Jarvis, Waldenstrom, Davies, Shores— all " aye". Motion Carried.

7. Authorization to Execute: Agreement for Acquisition of Property

Trustee Waldenstrom made a motion, seconded by Trustee Davies, to authorize the execution of a purchase agreement for property located at 47 S. Whitney Street. Roll call: Trustees Vogel, Jarvis, Waldenstrom, Davies, Shores— all" aye". Motion Carried.

Public Comment: Charlotte Renehan commented regarding land acquisition as provided for on item# 7 on the agenda.

Trustee Reports: Trustee Vogel thanked Trustee Bassett for his years of service to the Village Board and Building Commissioner Kevin McCrory for his years of service, dedication and professionalism to the Village of Grayslake. The Trustees thanked elected officials and the Village clerk and reminded all to attend the Exchange Club Food Truck Frenzy on Saturday, April 22" d at the Lake County Fairgrounds and the Lions Club pancake breakfast on Sunday, April 23`d in downtown Grayslake.

Mayor' s Report: Mayor Taylor congratulated 8th grade Prairie Crossing students for completing their culminating projects. Mayor Taylor recognized the retirements of Building Commissioner Kevin McCrory and Trustee Bruce Bassett and informally welcomed Trustee Elect Heather Nicodemus

There being no further business, Trustee Jarvis made a motion, seconded by Trustee Davies, to adjourn the meeting. On voice vote— all" aye". Motion Carried.

The meeting was adjourned at 7: 15 p.m.
