Chicago Beyond recently invited innovators to submit 90-second videos as applications for its second Go Innovate Challenge, a national initiative to support organizations working to help youth succeed, according to a posting on state Rep. Barbara Wheeler's (R-Crystal Lake) website.
Organizations and programs selected for the challenge will receive up to $2 million in funding to accomplish, realize or support their efforts, as well as operational assistance through Chicago Beyond and its partners. Based on the programs, ideas and approaches the challenge winners are implementing, Chicago Beyond can connect them with third-party consultants, university research partners and other organizations that offer assistance.
Chicago Beyond is a philanthropic fund founded in 2016. All organizations working to improve the lives of young people and promote their opportunities to succeed were encouraged to apply, as the challenge is open to both early-stage programs and well-established groups. Chicago Beyond will select the winning organizations based on their potential to create a dramatic change in youth outcomes.
