Grayslake Park District recently issued the following announcement.
Grayslake Park District is busy working to improve your community parks!
This summer, a new playground was installed at Cambridge Park (located in the College Trail Subdivision).
The new playground features smaller equipment intended for children ages 2-5 years, a larger set of equipment for children 5-12 years old, two expression swings that allow parents to swing with their young child, and two traditional swings.
In addition to the new playground equipment, the project included installation of new benches, additional drainage, and new wood fiber surfacing.
Cambridge Park also has a basketball court, tennis court, picnic shelter and space for fishing.
Swing by Cambridge Park to give the new playground a try!
The Grayslake Park District tries to replace at least one playground per year, depending on available funds.
The Park District has a playground replacement schedule that is used as a guide to prioritize replacement of the 23 playgrounds in its park inventory.
