Analysis: Round Lake pays $2.17 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Round Lake Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 68.4 percent of the $683,943 the Round Lake Police Pension Fund brought in 2018, or $2.17 for every $1 from pension members, according to a Lake County Gazette analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Round Lake contributed $468,072 to the fund, which saw a $26,315 increase in revenue over 2017. Members contributed $215,481, or 31.5 percent, in 2018. Another $390 came from other unspecified sources.
