Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Empire Beauty School-Vernon Hills

Tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Empire Beauty School-Vernon Hills, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Illinois students paid $19,260 to attend the private for-profit school in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Data shows 93 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 22 students received grants or scholarships totaling $103,130 and 28 students took out student loans totaling more than $213,981.

Including all undergraduates (74), 63 students used grants or scholarships totaling $260,975, and 58 students took out $422,317 in federal student loans.
