City of North Chicago Public Works Committee met Dec. 18.

Vice Chair, Alderman Smith called the meeting to order.

ROLL CALL:

Present: Jackson, Allen, Smith, Murphy

Absent: Coleman, Evans, January

I. DISCUSSION OF PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT MONTHLY REPORT:

There was no discussion.

II. DISCUSSION OF WATER DEPARTMENT MONTHLY REPORT:

There was no discussion.

III. DISCUSSION OF ENGINEER MONTHLY REPORT:

There was no discussion.

IV. DISCUSSION/REVIEW – TAI WORK ORDER NOT TO EXCEED AMOUNT OF $101,800 FOR DESIGN ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR FOSS PARK UNDERPASS AND RETAINING WALL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT:

Steve Cieslica, Engineer explained $100,000 was the estimated engineering cost to build the underpass and retaining wall, curb, gutter and sidewalks for the buildout within a couple $100 ft.

V. DISCUSSION OF LEAF COLLECTION & EQUIPMENT:

Bob Miller Consulting Public Works Director explained the leaf collection and equipment was requested to be placed on the next Committee Agenda, January 2, 2024.

Alderman Jackson moved, seconded by Alderman Allen that the Public Works Committee Meeting stand adjourned.

Nays: None

Absent: Coleman, Evans, January
