A measles case has been confirmed in Lake County, according to the Lake County Health Department. The case is related to the ongoing outbreak in Chicago, as stated by the health department.

In response to the confirmed case, Rep. Weber expressed concerns about the situation, stating, “Another example of how Illinois Democrats’ sanctuary state policy is failing our citizens and literally putting our health and safety at risk!”

Individuals who believe they may have been exposed to the measles are urged to contact their healthcare provider as soon as possible. The Lake County Health Department is providing information on where exposure to the virus has occurred and offering resources on the measles.

The community is advised to stay vigilant and take necessary precautions to prevent the spread of the measles.
