State Senator Dan McConchie | Illinois General Assembly
Illinois State Senator, Dan McConchie, has provided updates on various legislative matters in Springfield, shedding light on both positive initiatives and concerning issues within the state.
Regarding a tragic incident resulting from the early parole of a prisoner, Senator McConchie expressed his concerns, stating, "I believe that this case is just the latest in a string of controversial decisions made by the PRB, which has released numerous convicted murderers (including cop killers) and other violent offenders on the Governor’s watch."
Senator McConchie also highlighted his efforts in introducing legislation aimed at enhancing accessibility for people with disabilities in using electric vehicle charging stations, emphasizing, "I facilitated the Accessible Electric Vehicle Charging Station Act to help ensure all charging stations are designed to be independently usable by individuals with disabilities."
In addressing the high tax burden faced by Illinois residents, Senator McConchie pointed out the state's ranking as the least tax-friendly in the nation, stating, "Illinois taxpayers are paying over half a billion dollars per year for Governor Pritzker’s gold standard healthcare for non-citizens."
Additionally, the Senator shared a light-hearted moment in the community, mentioning, "Senator McConchie, colleagues, and some local teachers had the opportunity to be extras in a Christmas Movie shot downtown in Long Grove with a movie star, Mario Lopez."
