Lake Forest podcast host: ‘One group was out hustling the other’ for elections

Joe Weiss, host of the Lake Forest podcast, said that during the week after spring break, while a school board meeting was ongoing, many caucus members seemed unprepared, whereas the transparency group was well-prepared, running Facebook ads whose funding remains unclear. He also said that the caucus's response was minimal, with just a few Facebook posts and emails, suggesting that while one group was actively engaging, the other seemed unprepared.

“The week after spring break there was a school board meeting going on that night -and I think a lot of caucus people will admit- they got caught sleeping,” host Weiss told host Jansons on the Lake Forest podcast. “The transparency group was prepared.  They had their Facebook ads going, which again I’d like to know who’s paying for that.  State Board of Elections actually a revenue service 501 C3; a lot of questions there.”

“Caucus just kind of sent an email out and posted a couple of things on Facebook,” said host Weiss. “One group was out hustling the other.  That said, I don’t think it represents the majority, the community.”
