Vernon Hills releases the Summer 2024 Abortheater Concerts schedule

The Village of Vernon Hills has released its Summer 2024 Arbortheater Concerts schedule, which is set to commence in mid-June and conclude in early August. The concerts will take place at the Memorial Arbortheater, located at 50 S. Fairway Drive.

According to a press release from the Village of Vernon Hills, these free concerts are scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Memorial Arbortheater. Situated just north of the Vernon Hills Athletic Complex, these family-friendly concerts are open to all. Attendees are encouraged to bring along a blanket, picnic basket, snacks, and dancing shoes.

In another press release from the Village of Vernon Hills, it was stated that during the concerts, the main parking lot would be reserved for seniors and those with handicap placards. General concert parking can be found at the Rogers Executive Park II parking lot adjacent to the Arbortheater. Furthermore, access to the Arbortheater is also available via a bike path through Deerpath Park located just north of Kids Castle.

The concert series kicks off on Thursday, June 13 with a performance by Jolly Ringwalds as per a press release from the Village of Vernon Hills. The band is touted as offering "the ultimate 80's experience". Following this is Classic Blast's performance on Wednesday, June 19; this group combines classical music with rock elements in what they describe as "a musical thrill ride through history." The final concert for June will be held on Wednesday 26th featuring One Foot in the Groove - an eight-piece horn-driven rock band that celebrates America's classic rock heritage.

After celebrating Independence Day, according to another press release from the Village of Vernon Hills, Final Say will perform on Thursday, July 11. This band has been described as one of the most dynamic bands in the area and performs music spanning from the '60s to contemporary rock. On Wednesday, July 24, the stage will feature local stars from the Libertyville School of Rock. The concert series concludes with a performance by Serendipity on Thursday, Aug. 1 - an all-girl rock/pop band from the suburbs of Chicago known for their high-energy performances.
