Westminster High School hosted the annual Back-to-School Breakfast and Backpack Giveaway on August 9, welcoming families from Westminster Public Schools for a morning event supported by A Precious Child and the Westminster Public Schools Foundation. Attendees enjoyed breakfast foods such as pancakes, sausage patties, fruit, milk, and coffee.
During the event, about two thousand backpacks were distributed to students preparing for the new school year. Children selected their own backpacks and had opportunities to personalize them with iron-on patches and custom buttons at designated stations.
“The goal was to have students start the year with all the supplies they need so they can focus on learning and their education,” organizers said.
