Batavia Police provide update on fatal traffic crash at N Randall Road and McKee Street

The Batavia Police Department announced on March 25 that the front-seat passenger of a Tesla involved in a traffic crash at the intersection of N Randall Road and McKee Street has died from her injuries.

According to the department, the incident occurred at approximately 4:19 PM. The victim was identified as a 37-year-old female. The Kane County Coroner’s Office will release her identity after notifying next of kin.

“The Batavia Police Department grieves alongside the victim’s family and our community, and we offer our sincere condolences to those affected by this terrible tragedy,” the department said.

No charges have been filed related to the crash. Authorities said that the investigation remains active and open.
