An engineering and transportation safety study is currently in progress to improve student safety in Buffalo Grove school zones. The initiative, conducted with the Village of Wheeling, brings together civil engineers, transportation experts, and school administrators to identify possible traffic safety improvements along major roads used by students traveling to and from school.
The study is funded through the Invest In Cook Program provided by the Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways. Organizers say more information will be shared with the public in coming months, including opportunities for community involvement.
