The Village of Buffalo Grove announced on Apr. 13 that it has released the BG 2050 Comprehensive Plan Draft and is seeking public input through June 3.

The comprehensive plan will serve as a long-term guide for decisions related to land use, housing, transportation, economic development, and natural resources over the next 15 to 20 years. Community feedback is being encouraged to help shape the future direction of Buffalo Grove.

Residents can review the updated plan and submit their comments using an online form. In addition, a presentation and discussion about the draft plan are available for viewing on BGTV. The village thanked residents for their participation in shaping Buffalo Grove’s future.

Opportunities for feedback include open house question-and-answer sessions at Village Hall scheduled for Monday, April 20 from 4 to 6 p.m., and Friday, May 8 from 7 to 9 a.m. Appointments with Principal Planner Andrew Binder can also be requested via email at abinder@vbg.org. An online feedback form remains available throughout the comment period.

A public hearing regarding the comprehensive plan is set for June 3 during the Planning & Zoning Commission meeting at Village Hall Council Chambers beginning at 7:30 p.m.
