Private utility companies are carrying out work in Buffalo Grove to install new fiber optic internet services. Other projects are also ongoing to upgrade the area’s current electric and internet utilities.

As part of these efforts, workers are marking existing utilities and may dig holes or lay conduit in utility easement areas. These zones are generally found along streets, sidewalks, property lines, or between properties.

Residents seeking more information about which companies are working nearby can visit the Village’s website for updates and a map showing current work locations at www.vbg.org/utilitywork.
