On Wednesday, March 4, at 3:30 p.m., the Oberlin Yeomen—whose roster includes former Glenbrook North High School standout Matthew Ruttkay—were defeated 16-6 by the Case Western Reserve Spartans in an NCAA Division III baseball game.

Nobby’s Ballpark hosted the season’s first meeting between the Yeomen and Spartans.

During his one inning on the mound, Ruttkay gave up three earned runs, walking one batter and striking out another.

The Yeomen are set to face the Kalamazoo Hornets next at Dill Field, Saturday, March 7, at 12 p.m.
