The elevator at the Community Center is scheduled to be out of service for mechanical upgrades starting on or after March 9. The maintenance is expected to last between three and five weeks, according to an announcement from Mundelein Park District.

Officials state that the work is needed to improve the reliability, safety, and overall performance of the elevator. During this period, there will not be an accessible alternative available for those who require elevator access.

“If you have questions or require further assistance, please contact Superintendent of Recreation Facilities, Christian Kopp at ckopp@mundeleinparks.org.”

The district encourages individuals who may be affected by the shutdown to reach out with any concerns about accessibility during the maintenance period.
