From April 13 to 17, a community organization plans to conduct a Blue Kids – Lake County Children’s Advocacy Center meeting in the Village of Lindenhurst.
The event is set to take place at the Lake Villa District Library.
Community members interested in attending are encouraged to participate and engage in local discussions.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office will join other agencies in a major traffic safety initiative along Illinois Route 59 on May 9. Deputies will target impaired driving, speeding, seat belt violations and distracted driving as part of statewide efforts supported by federal funding.

McHenry County will no longer mail certain property assessment notices as part of an effort to reduce costs. Notices affected by this change can now be accessed online through the county’s tax portal. Physical mailings will continue for some types of properties.
