The Cuba Township Road District announced on April 2 that its annual spring brush pickup will begin Monday, April 13. Residents are asked to call or email Sue at 847-381-7793 by April 10 to arrange for their brush to be collected. When contacting the district, residents should provide their name, address, and phone number if they have a brush pile ready for pickup.

The program is intended to help residents dispose of yard debris in an organized manner. The guidelines state that branches must be less than eight inches in diameter and should be stacked neatly. Each pile should not exceed ten feet wide when viewed from the street, four feet high, and five feet deep.

The township said root balls, stumps, decorative grasses, leaves or other yard waste will not be accepted as part of this collection. If a pile exceeds the stated size limits, only branches within the guideline will be picked up; any remaining material will not be collected. Only one pile per household is allowed.

Officials thanked residents in advance for their cooperation with these rules and encouraged everyone to follow the guidelines closely so all eligible material can be picked up efficiently.
