The annual brush pickup for Cuba Township is scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. on Monday, October 6, 2025. Residents are required to place their neatly stacked brush piles by the street before the start time.

Cuba Road District staff will collect brush throughout all Cuba Township service areas, which include unincorporated Cuba Township and the Villages of Barrington (within Cuba Township), Lake Barrington, Tower Lakes, and Port Barrington.

However, properties situated on IDOT roads—specifically Routes 59, 22, and Lake Cook Road—as well as those on Lake County Roads such as Roberts, Miller, Kelsey, and River are excluded from this pickup. The exclusion is due to concerns for the safety of employees and the public.

The guidelines specify that branch diameters must be less than eight inches. Brush piles should not exceed ten feet in width (as seen from the street), four feet in height, or five feet in depth. Root balls, stumps, decorative grasses, leaves, or yard waste are not permitted in the piles. If a brush pile exceeds these dimensions or includes unapproved materials, any remaining branches will not be collected.

There will be no additional brush pickups for the rest of the year.
