Deerfield Public Schools District 109 is introducing ParentSquare as its main communication platform to enhance engagement with the school community. The platform will facilitate secure messaging and allow families to choose their preferred notification methods, such as email, text, or app notifications. This month, winter MAP score reports will be distributed through ParentSquare, eliminating the need for printed copies.

The initiative follows a successful trial with 8th-grade families in December. Parents are encouraged to activate their ParentSquare accounts promptly to ensure they receive important updates and their child’s MAP scores. An email invitation will be sent out for account activation; if not found in the primary inbox, it may be in Spam or Junk folders.

To activate an account, parents should click on the “Activate your account” link in the email and verify their contact information and children. A verification code might be required via text or email. For convenience, a ParentSquare app is available for download. Resources like a Getting Started Guide and Video are provided to assist with setup.

For any issues regarding account setup or information discrepancies, Annette Maloney can be contacted at amaloney@dps109.org.
