District 117 has announced the eighth annual AP Bootcamp event scheduled for this summer. All first-time D117 AP students are invited to attend the event on Tuesday, August 12, at Lakes Community High School from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm.

The event aims to help students understand the nature of AP courses and prepare for success in these classes. It will feature break-out sessions focused on skills needed for AP classes, a student panel, and team-building activities. A pizza lunch will also be provided.

Transportation to and from the event will not be provided by the district; students must arrange their own transportation.

Students should have received a postcard invitation as well as a follow-up email with more information about this event. Registration is open until July 29.

For more information, please contact Gina Baur at Lakes Community High School or Anne Eichman or Michael Riggs at Antioch Community High School.
