The halls of District 181 are abuzz with the energy of engaged learners as the D181 Summer Programs complete their first week. While the Summer Math Bridge program began on June 5, most other offerings, including Summer Learning, Extended School Year (ESY), Time to Shine, and Math Camp, officially kicked off on June 9.

From enriching lessons in the comprehensive Summer Learning Program to targeted support in ESY, Time to Shine, and Math Camp, students are actively participating in opportunities that extend their education beyond the regular school year. The district is particularly proud of its diverse offerings designed to meet various student needs and interests.

“Whether students advance their math skills, receive essential support through grant-funded programs or explore new subjects, every participant engages in meaningful and impactful learning,” said a district representative.

The district expressed gratitude towards all dedicated teachers, staff, and administrators who ensured a smooth and successful first week. “Their commitment to fostering a productive learning environment is evident,” said the statement. Appreciation was also extended to D181 families and those outside the district for entrusting their children’s summer learning.

Asynchronous instruction will be included on Juneteenth (June 19) as part of the ongoing programs.

“We anticipate continued growth and achievement as we look forward to the next two weeks,” added the representative. “We’re confident that our D181 Summer Programs will provide an enriching and valuable experience for everyone involved. “
