East Elementary School held an event on Wednesday’s early release day to teach students about positive behavior through the PBIS program. The gathering took place in the gym, where music and scenes from the film Coco were used to illustrate lessons in respect, responsibility, and kindness. Organizers reported that students remained engaged throughout the activities.
The event is part of a broader effort within Zion Elementary School District 6, which serves several schools in Lake County including East Elementary School, Beulah Park Elementary School, Elmwood Elementary School, Lakeview School, Shiloh Park Elementary School, West Elementary School, and Zion Central Middle School.
