LRS will provide free and unlimited landscape waste collection for eligible residents during the weeks of April 20 and April 27, according to a March 23 announcement. The service is available to those who do not pay a homeowners association for waste collection services.

This initiative allows residents to dispose of their yard waste without additional cost, aiming to help with seasonal clean-up needs. The program specifies that all landscape waste must be placed at the curb or edge of the road by 6 a.m. on the regular pick-up day.

Acceptable methods for containerizing yard waste include kraft-type paper bags weighing no more than 45 pounds, rigid cans up to 32 gallons, or bundled brush measuring no more than two feet in diameter by four feet long and weighing up to sixty pounds. Each bundle should be tied with twine or string, and individual branches cannot exceed three inches in diameter.

Residents are reminded that failure to have materials out by the designated time will result in missed collection. If this occurs, they must wait until the following week or until regular paid yard waste collection resumes.

The temporary program aims to encourage proper disposal practices while supporting community efforts during peak landscaping periods.
