Families with incoming kindergarteners interested in the new Two-Way Dual Language program at Grayslake Consolidated Community School District 46 are encouraged to attend upcoming informational sessions. The program aims to achieve biliteracy, enabling students to read and write in both Spanish and English by learning letters and sounds in each language.
The district will host several sessions: a virtual meeting on February 17, 2026, via Google Meet at 6:00 PM; an in-person session at Avon Center School on February 24, 2026, at 6:00 PM; another at Prairieview School on March 3, 2026, at 6:00 PM; and the final one at Park Campus on March 10, 2026, also at 6:00 PM.
Grayslake Consolidated Community School District 46 serves Lake County and includes schools such as Avon Center Elementary and Prairieview School.
