The City of Highland Park has announced its participation in the America250 City Art Poster Project, an initiative organized in partnership with the United States Conference of Mayors and the National Endowment for the Arts.

This project invites residents from Highland Park, regardless of age or artistic experience, to design a poster that reflects their interpretation of America250 and its significance to the local community. The selected winning entry will be showcased in Long Beach, California, during the United States Conference of Mayors semiannual meeting scheduled for June 4–7.

According to city officials, “Residents of all ages and artistic ability are invited to create a poster that represents what America250 means to you and to the Highland Park community. The winning submission will be displayed in Long Beach, CA from June 4 – 7 during the semiannual United States Conference of Mayors meeting.”

Participants are required to submit original artwork sized at 24 by 32 inches. Posters must include both “America250” and “Highland Park” within their design. Submissions can use any artistic medium except generative AI tools. Completed posters should be uploaded as a PDF file at 300 DPI resolution in CMYK color mode by March 8.

Additional information about contest rules and submission instructions is available through the city’s official communication channels.
