The Highwood Stallions won the championship title in the first season of the Chicago Bocce League, according to an announcement on Apr. 14. The team was recognized for its achievements and its contribution to establishing Illinois’ first semi-professional bocce league.

The success of the Stallions marks a significant moment for both the team and the Highwood community, highlighting local support for bocce as well as efforts to promote new athletic opportunities.

Earlier this year, city officials honored the Stallions at a City Council meeting for their involvement in launching the league. The team’s competitive season ended with them securing the top spot in what organizers described as a proud achievement for all involved.

Supporters and players have played an important role in building and maintaining Highwood’s bocce tradition over time. Their dedication has helped pave the way for this recent victory.

As attention turns toward future seasons, community members continue to celebrate both this win and ongoing efforts to strengthen local sports traditions.
