Legislators are set to return to Springfield on January 20, 2026, for the first week of the Illinois House’s 2026 Spring Session.

Illinois residents have an option to express their support or opposition to proposed legislation before the Illinois General Assembly by filing a witness slip. These slips become part of the official record and are referenced during committee hearings when bills are discussed.

A brief video and explanation is available for those interested in learning how to file a witness slip to participate in the legislative process.

Weber, a Republican, was elected in 2019 to represent Illinois’ 64th House District, succeeding Barbara Wheeler.
