Illinois State tops Eastern Kentucky 7-2 with Lucas Foley pitching

The Illinois State Redbirds, featuring former Lake Zurich High School standout Lucas Foley, secured a 7-2 win over the Eastern Kentucky Colonels in an NCAA Division I baseball contest on Friday, March 6, at 5 p.m.

Earle Combs Stadium served as the site of the matchup and marked the first time the Redbirds faced the Colonels this season.

Foley pitched 4.1 innings, allowing one earned run and tallying six strikeouts.

The Redbirds will play their next game against Eastern Kentucky at Earle Combs Stadium on Saturday, March 7, at 1 p.m.
