Illinois Wesleyan Titans, featuring former Carmel Catholic High School standout Caroline Gatchell, were defeated 4-3 by the Belhaven Blazers during their NCAA Division III softball game at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17.
The matchup was held at McLeod Field and marked the teams’ second meeting this season. In their earlier contest on Tuesday, March 17, the Titans also fell to the Blazers with a score of 4-3.
Gatchell pitched four innings, giving up four earned runs, walking two, and striking out two.
The Titans will return to play Wednesday, March 18, at 5 p.m. at Millsaps Softball Complex against the Millsaps Majors.
