On April 30, Jefferson Middle School hosted an all-school assembly featuring performances by the school’s orchestra, choir, and band students. The event provided an opportunity for these young musicians to showcase their talents to their peers.
The school expressed its appreciation towards the performers with a statement: “Great job, Wildcats! Thank you for sharing your talents with your fellow Wildcats. “
In Waukegan Community Unit School District 60, 363 white students were enrolled in the 2024-25 school year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education.
In Mundelein Elementary School District 75, 2.6% of students identified as Black in the 2024-25 school year.
In Prairie Crossing Charter School schools, 10 Black students were enrolled in the 2024-25 school year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education.
