The UIC Flames, featuring former Warren Township High School standout Kendall Lyons, fell 8-2 to the UNC Greensboro Spartans in their NCAA Division I baseball contest on Sunday, March 15, at 1:05 p.m.

Les Miller Field at Curtis Granderson Stadium served as the location for the match. It marked the third meeting this season between the Flames and Spartans. One day earlier, on Saturday, March 14, the Flames dropped a close 6-5 game to UNC Greensboro.

Lyons pitched 1.2 innings, allowing two earned runs with two walks and one strikeout.

The Flames are set to face the Iowa Hawkeyes at 4:05 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, at Les Miller Field at Curtis Granderson Stadium.
