Joint resolution amending the Lake County Health Department Environmental Health Fees Schedule (as authorized in Lake County Code of Ordinances Chapter 178).

• Environmental Health is proposing revisions to the Environmental Health Animal Care and Control Fees Schedule, including updates to municipal contract fees and other service fees due to rising costs for animal boarding, veterinary services, and rehoming.

• Language in the fee schedule has been updated for clarity and to ensure alignment with Chapter 172.

• The fee for disposal of an animal impounded at the Animal Care and Control facility is increasing from $35 to $150, with exceptions.

• The fee for services provided to a non-contracted municipality is increasing from $200 to $250.

Presentation on Highlights from Housing Lake Summit and Next Steps.

Resolution approving a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Lake County and the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) to advance the work of the Lake County Coalition for Housing (Housing Lake).

• In July 2025, Lake County and CMAP established a county-wide coalition focused on increasing housing supply (Housing Lake).

• The initial phase of Housing Lake’s work will culminate with actionable recommendations and strategies.

• The attached MOU continues the partnership between Lake County and CMAP into the next phase of Housing Lake focused on implementation.
