History Center Lake Forest-Lake Bluff

The Lake Forest Book Store presents an Author Talk featuring Malcolm Kempt, Ian McGuire, and Gene Wojciechowski in conversation with David Sweet on Tuesday, March 31, from 6-8 p.m. at the History Center Lake Forest-Lake Bluff, located at 509 E. Deerpath Road in Lake Forest, where the authors will discuss their books A Gift Before Dying, White River Crossing, and All Carry during an engaging evening of literary conversation, storytelling, and audience interaction; attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase copies of the books and have them signed by the authors, while enjoying appetizers, beer, and wine included with the $35 ticket price, and those interested in attending are encouraged to reserve their spot in advance by calling 847-234-4420.



British Invasion and More! The Brit Pack

British Invasion and More! The Brit Pack will bring an energetic night of classic and modern UK rock to the John & Nancy Hughes Theater at the Gorton Center, 400 E. Illinois Road in Lake Forest, on Saturday, April 11, from 7:30-9:30 p.m., where audiences will relive decades of British music performed by the acclaimed tribute band formed by two British musicians in New York City, featuring Matt Nakoa on vocals, guitar, and keys, Mark Johnson on guitar and vocals, Bryan Percivall on bass, and Will Haywood Smith on drums; the performance will highlight songs from legendary artists including Queen, David Bowie, The Who, Tears for Fears, The Cure, Oasis, Radiohead, The Kinks, and The Rolling Stones, with ticket prices ranging from $39-59 and $32 for attendees under 18.
