The Gorter Family Career Advancement Center held its seventeenth annual Speed Networking event on October 23, drawing a record number of participants to the Sports and Recreation Center. Nearly 350 students and 160 professionals attended, resulting in more than 4,500 networking interactions during the evening.

The event was structured with nine-minute rounds and nine rotations, giving students the chance to engage with a wide range of working professionals. Attendees included alumni, employers from Lake County and Chicagoland, as well as local community members.

Speed Networking is designed to help students display their abilities, learn about current trends in the professional world, explore hiring opportunities, and connect with the Forester Network.

“Something I learned tonight is there is an unlimited number of people who are willing to help you,” said Bryan Dussault ’28. “Coming to this event, it’s really amazing.”
