Lake Forest School Districts 67 and 115 announced the community is invited to experience Rhythm Rising, an energetic musical event uniting students from Deer Path Middle School and Lake Forest High School in a shared performance featuring renowned violinist Mark Wood.

According to a Facebook announcement, the event will showcase student musicians performing with Mark Wood, an original string master of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. The performance aims to blend rock influences with orchestral music, highlighting student talent and fostering collaboration and creative expression on stage.

The free public event offers an opportunity for the community to enjoy a dynamic evening centered around student musical performance.

Lake Forest Elementary School District 67 serves approximately 1,600 students across grades Pre-K through 8. The district includes three elementary schools—Cherokee Elementary (K-4), Everett Elementary (K-4), and Sheridan Elementary (Pre-K-4)—as well as Deer Path Middle School (5-8). According to Lake Forest Schools, District 67 is recognized for its innovative instructional practices that emphasize inclusive education and personalized learning experiences.

Lake Forest Community High School District 115 caters to about 1,500 students in grades 9–12 from Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, and Knollwood. The district offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes advanced placement courses and various extracurricular activities. As said by Lake Forest Schools, more than 95% of students pursue higher education after graduation. Both districts share services such as administration and finance to enhance efficiency.
