During Leah’s Cornell Grade School career, she participated in:

– 4-H for eight years and has received many champions; she has gone to the state fair five times.

– Track for three years and received an award for Best Effort in 6th grade.

– Basketball for four years and received two awards in 6th and 7th grade for Best Offense and Best Defense.

– Volleyball for five years, received an award for Most Improved in 7th grade and Third Best Server in 8th grade.

– Cheerleading for two years.

– Garden Club for one year.

– Church Youth Group

– Student Council for three years and served as president for one year.

– Speech Contest for four years and received first place all four years.

– Band for four years and received two awards for first place in 7th and 8th grade for her band solos.

She recently joined a travel basketball league. Leah’s interests include sports, gymnastics, reading, 4-H, church, being outside, hanging out with family, friends, and animals. Leah will be moving to Kankakee for high school and is excited to make new friends and have a different community. She plans to participate in basketball and track in high school. She also may join volleyball, choir, or band. She is planning to attend college pursuing either medical or dentistry school; however, she is considering enlisting in the military first before attending college.
