Lake Forest Community High School District 115 announced updates to its visual identity now displayed throughout the school building.

The district said these changes are intended to reflect the school’s sense of pride and community identity. The new visual elements aim to shape the experience of being part of Lake Forest High School (LFHS), according to an announcement by LFHS. Among the updates are a new LF sign and a display carrying the message that the school is a place for everyone.

According to LFHS, “The changes go beyond simple decoration, aiming to reinforce the culture and energy that define the school community. The updates align with the school’s #OneLFHS theme, emphasizing belonging and shared identity among students and staff.”

Lake Forest High School was founded in 1935 as a public secondary school in Lake Forest, Illinois, serving grades 9–12 for students from Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, and Knollwood. Located at 1285 N. McKinley Road, its campus is home to the Scouts, with royal blue and gold as its colors. The school emphasizes academic excellence, with about 95% of students pursuing higher education. Its culture values mutual respect, collaboration, and personal support, with strong ties between students and faculty. It was recognized as a 2021 National Blue Ribbon School and carries the motto “Abeunt Studia in Mores,” or “pursuits become habits,” according to Lake Forest Schools.

Lake Forest Community High School District 115 serves about 1,500 students in grades 9–12 from Lake Forest, Lake Bluff, and Knollwood. The district provides a wide curriculum including advanced placement courses, electives, athletics, performing arts, clubs, career pathways, social-emotional growth initiatives and community service opportunities. More than 95% of students pursue higher education after graduation. Feeder schools include Deer Path Middle School, Lake Bluff Middle School and local private or parochial schools. Districts 115 and 67 share services such as administration and special education to improve efficiency and reduce costs according to Lake Forest Schools.
